Stella Maris was recently refurbished to a high standard and has been decorated with quality fixtures and fittings for the resident’s comfort and enjoyment. Residents located on Level 2 of Stella Maris have direct access to the McAuley Common Room (150sqm), a meeting room (33.5sqm), the Water View and Esplanade Lounge Rooms (1 x 35sqm and 1 x 32sqm) – both offering residents and their guests with stunning ocean views, the Curranulla and Shelly Park Dining Rooms (1 x 46.5sqm and 1 x 110sqm), Sandy Dunes Retreat Room (45sqm), hairdresser (14.5sqm) and Chapel (153sqm). Stella Maris provides residents with an assortment of common areas across its three levels – all of which can be easily accessed by either lift or stairs. In addition, residents are able to hire the private dining and function room for special occasions (room hire is complimentary).
Additional care and services included in room price

Residents at Stella Maris are able to participate in a range of complimentary activities including bus trips, arts and craft activities, movie days, sing alongs. For those that enjoy reading, home library visits occur every fortnight – both hard copy and E-books are available. Mass is held every week and is open to all denominations. Residents also have access to Pastoral Care services.
Additional care and services available at additional cost

Residents at Stella Maris have access to the Beauty Hub that offers regular hairdresser and beautician services, a mobile podiatrist and a kiosk (which is open four days per week for residents and visitors and offers a variety of items). Residents are able to have daily newspapers delivered. All services are charged at the supplier’s quoted rates. Visiting family and friends are able to enjoy a two course meal at a small cost per person to enjoy with loved ones in the resident dining rooms. Residents using the private dining and function room are able to order catering – a quotation will be provided based on the resident’s specific dining requirements.

Explanation of payment options

Residents can choose to pay for their accommodation by a refundable deposit, a daily payment or a combination of both. A refundable deposit is paid as a lump sum amount. A daily payment accrues daily and is paid periodically, for example monthly. A combination payment includes both a partial lump sum and daily payments.
